罗伯特哥顿大学SMS制度将于2月1日正式实施

英国罗伯特哥顿大学配合学生签证第四层级制度实施而制定的新SMS（Sponsor Management System ）制度将于2010年2月1日正式实施。新政策实施后，CAS，即Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies reference number 将取代visa letter 用于向英国边境管理局申请学生签证。原文如下：

    This is a short note to let you know that the Sponsor Management System (SMS) for Tier 4 student visas will go live on 1 February 2010.This is the last of the phased implementation stages for the new Point Based System for Immigration.

    What this means:

    1. In order to apply for a student visa from 1 February onwards, a student must have a "Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies", or "CAS"

    2. Robert Gordon University will be required to issue a unique Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies reference number (CAS) to each student who has confirmed their acceptance of an unconditional offer. The CAS will replace the visa letter in the student visa application process. However, Robert Gordon University will continue to issue Conditional and Unconditional offer letters as usual, in addition to the CAS.

    3. The CAS will be needed to obtain a visa, and will contribute to the number of points required. The University will be responsible for notifying the UK Border Agency of students’ registration at the University and their continued attendance on the course.

    4. The UK Border Agency charges £10 for each CAS issued. Robert Gordon University will absorb this cost- it will not be passed on to the student.

    5. All other procedures, deposits, etc will remain unchanged.
